Meet our Founder
Mercy Katsivo

Mercy Katsivo is a legal expert and human rights advocate dedicated to fostering peace and security for vulnerable communities. She holds an LL.B from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law, and is completing her LL.M in International Law and Security at the University of Birmingham, UK. Her career includes serving as the first female prosecutor in Lamu County, Kenya - a region known for its conflict and terrorism-related issues, where she collaborated with UNDP to establish a rehabilitation center for drug-related cases, emphasizing restorative justice. She has worked on reconciliation programs (ODPP), human rights workshops (Katindi & Co. Firm), and womens land ownership initiatives (at Ministry of Lands). Her experiences, including paramilitary training with the Kenya Police Service, equip her with unique skills to navigate conflict zones. Inspired by personal connections to refugee struggles, Mercy founded this organization in 2023, beginning with housing Ethiopian and Eritrean migrants in Nairobi, Kenya.
